When you join, we run a short face liveness check from your camera — a few seconds, no forms. It confirms two things:
Pass it once and a verified badge sits on your profile, so everyone you meet knows the person in the photos is the person showing up. On a laptop with a weaker camera, the check simply hands off to your phone.
The check is privacy-first. Your camera feed is used to confirm you're live and matches your photo, then it's gone — we store the result, not your video. The whole exchange is encrypted end to end.
A verified badge is the floor, not the ceiling. Every host applies, gets verified, and is reviewed by us before they can host a single plan — we meet every single one before you do. Most who apply don't make it.
Plans happen at partner venues in public places, with easy exits. From inside the app you can share your live plan with someone you trust, call your host on a masked number (yours stays private), and hold an emergency button to alert us if anything feels off.
