cancellations & refunds.

You pay in full online when you book. It's held safely until you meet. The rule is simple — cancel before your booking is confirmed and you get everything back; once it's confirmed, it's non-refundable.

Once it's confirmedNo refund

A full refund returns the whole amount you paid— you're always made whole.

01how paying works

Pay once, held until you meet.

You pay the full price online at the time you request a plan, through Stripe. Your money is held safely and isn't released until your hang is complete, so a cancellation simply decides whether it comes back to you or not.

02what “confirmed” means

Confirmation happens in two steps.

After you request a plan, your host has 24 hours to accept. Once they do, PlusOne locks in the venue slot and your booking becomes confirmed— you'll get your meet code. That confirmation is the line: everything before it is fully refundable, everything after it is not.

If your host declines, or doesn't respond within 24 hours, the request is cancelled automatically and you're refunded in full — you never lose money waiting on a host.

“Non-refundable once confirmed” applies to your owncancel. If your host cancels a confirmed booking, you're refunded in full— you're only on the hook for a plan you back out of yourself.

Once a booking is confirmed, only your own cancel is non-refundable. If your host cancels, or we pull the plug — because a venue falls through — you get a full refund. You're never left out of pocket for a cancellation you didn't make.

04no-shows

If someone doesn't turn up.

You can report a no-show on a confirmed booking once it's 20 minutes past the start timeand the hang hasn't begun.

05the fine print

When you can't cancel, and how refunds arrive.

A booking can't be cancelled once the hang has started(the moment your meet code is used) or after it's complete — those are final. A booking that's already been cancelled or refunded can't be cancelled again.

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
